International Dairy Federation Conference (IDF)

On 14th -16th May a regional IDF Conference (International Dairy Federation) on "Fermented Milks – Technology and Nutrition" was held in Moscow. The conference followed a 2-day IDF Symposium on "Lactose & its derivates", and many attendees had chosen to participate in both events.The conference programme included speakers from the food industry (Valio, Chr. Hansen and Arla Foods Amba), as well as research institutions from Russia, USA, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Danisco was represented at the poster exhibition with 3 posters:-

  • The Influence of Prebiotic Dietary Fibres on the Sensory Properties of Yoghurt by Mette Sveje.
  • Influence of different lactic acid bacteria strain combinations on key aroma compounds of fermented milks by Elise Manoury, Vincent Skowera, Pascal Fourcassie and Laurence Telou.
  • Biopreservation of fresh fermented dairy products by protective cultures by Jana Pärn, Steffen Thun, Anne Gravesen and Dieter Elsser.

    At the conference, Danisco also presented a tabletop displaying samples of yoghurt made with Litesse® and Yo-MixTM, which were well received by the attendants from the conference.
