Litesse® Family of Ingredients

Danisco manufactures Litesse® polydextrose using a proprietary process that efficiently removes impurities. As a result, Litesse® is less acidic and less bitter than the original form of polydextrose. It has a natural, neutral taste profile. Litesse® is also less astringent and has less drying characteristics during consumption. It also exhibits excellent humectant properties.

The Litesse® family of ingredients has been developed to meet the requirements of numerous applications. Litesse® is unique in that its properties can be varied, from a bland, neutral powder to a colourless, mildly sweet liquid. In addition to a range of forms, Litesse® is available in a number of grades, as summarised in the table below.
